Blessing In Disguise – A Wigan Charity Supporting Terminally Ill and Disabled Children

‘Blessing in Disguise’ are a local Wigan based children’s charity who spend the year supporting terminally ill and disabled children across the North-West. Like many charities, Christmas is an especially busy time of year and they put a phenomenal effort into bringing a little joy during the festive season. Christmas is a special time of year. It brings people together and encourages us all to the the very best versions of ourselves. For some though, bringing a bit of the Christmas Spirit to children and their families is an all year round endeavour, particularly poignant for the those who, for whatever the reason, may be less able to celebrate, or, sadly, may not see another Christmas. Through attracting funding, gaining the support of Wish FM, running special events and a whole host of other endeavours, this inspirational charity improves the lives of children, young people and their families by providing special needs equipment, arranging activities and otherwise improving the quality of life for those they support. Allowing disabled, disadvantaged and terminally ill children to enjoy an enhanced quality of life while making memories with their loved ones.    

Helping Blessing In Disguise Deliver Christmas Cheer

With only a few days to go until Christmas, the team at Blessing in Disguise have a busy time ahead of them delivering Christmas gifts to St Anne’s Hospice, Children’s homes and Women’s Refuges around the area and it’s been our privilege to do our bit to help put by donating the use of one of our Rental Vans to this fantastic local charity so they can bring a little festive joy to those who need it most.
