The 2025 Custom Sport – A Whole New Level
The Ford Transit Custom, in any specification is a great choice and deserved popular amongst our van hire customers, but the 2025 Custom Sport is a step beyond what you’d expect from a commercial vehicle. Now in its 8th Generation, the Ford Transit continues to be the benchmark against which all others are judged and with several decades of being the best selling van n the road, there’s always a lot riding on each successive iteration.
While other trim levels exist, the Custom Limited is a mainstay of our van hire fleet. Offering alloy wheels, all round parking sensors, premium paint, cruise control, air conditioning and more, as well as the incredible Sync4 infotainment system which features a huge touchscreen display located prominently in the middle of the dash.
The Custom Sport however, takes all the features seen in the Limited trim and dials up the premium appeal to the next level. Visually the Ford Transit Custom Sport is a real head turner. Inside, the upholstery features race inspired stripes and part leather look seats, but it’s outside where the Custom Sport REALLY shows itself off. First of all, there are those unmistakeable racing strip decals all over. Naturally there are larger alloy wheels, but as well as all this, you’ll see some rakish bits of body-kit which highlight the sporting credentials of this stunning, range topping Custom!
It’s not “all show and no go” either. The 2025 Custom Sport features the highest power output engines from the Custom range, so you’ll always have the power to cope with the task at hand. Just make sure you use the tie down rings in the back if you end up ‘enjoying’ the twist country lanes so much that you forget you’re in a van!
The van in the photo’s is the Ford Transit Custom Sport PHEV – the plug in hybrid version of the sport, which, naturally, is an automatic, further upping the premium appeal of this already super high end van, as well as making use of electricity for provide that extra bit of ‘shove’ when you need it. From financial perspective, this also makes masses of sense as the hybrid version of the sport is capable of being driven on electricity alone for up to 54 miles and the inherent efficient nature of all hybrids means that the official fuel economy is 176.6 mpg. Expect to achieve around 40mpg in the real world, but this has the knock on effect of a super low C02 emmission stat’ which is another way this superb van can help you cut your costs and improve your image – just what we like to see at Westwood!
