Westwood Feature In The Fastest 50
Today the awards ceremony for the Northwest’s Fastest 50 Business Awards took place at the prestigious Royal Exchange Theatre in Central Manchester, a business award itself celebrating its 10th anniversary. As one of the 50 fastest growing businesses in the Northwest we were privileged to receive an invitation to attend and we sent our Marketing Manager, Chris Ellison along to represent Team Westwood and mingle with representatives from other leading businesses from across the Northwest.
Not all awards are created equal. We all know that many awards are generally based on who buys the most seats/tables at the gala dinner in which they’re given out. Not so with the Fastest 50. Arranged by law firm Ward Hadaway in association with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, being ‘on the list’ carries real weight and legitimacy.
Taking place in the opulent surroundings of the historic Royal Exchange theatre, delegates were greeted with a beautiful backdrop to the awards and a glass of something bubbly at the drinks reception while they mingled and networked before being ushered into the seating area for the speeches and presentations.
The speeches and the awards themselves were short yet poignant, one being given by William of J.W. Lees Brewery, in whose family this Brewery has been run fr 6 genrations. One point he made which particularly hit home was about leading businesses being the only ones capable of making real change for the better, not politicians or governments. We couldn’t agree more.
Four awards were presented, for the fastest growing small, medium and large business as well as the overall fastest growth. Following the ceremony, the full list of businesses and their ranking in terms of growth was made available, we were very happy to be right in the middle of the list as the 26th fastest growing business in the Northwest and the only company in our sector to feature on the list at all.
A tribute to the hard work of our entire team, showing once and for all that when we refer to ourselves as the leading vehicle solutions company, it’s not just ‘marketing fluff’ it’s there in black and white, backed up by the numbers.
So how were those numbers calculated?
In order to compile the list of the Northwest’s fastest growing businesses, the calculations were made on the basis of submitted finances at Companies house showing average turnover growth over 3 years, with growth calculated as a percentage. Simple and hard to argue with.

Our congratulations to the 49 other leading Northwest Businesses who joined us on the list and our congratulations to the businesses who took home awards on the day.
