The Story Behind Wigan Athletic and Westwood

Chris Melling, Managing Director of Westwood Motor Group, has been a lifelong Wigan fan. As a local business owner, Chris believes in putting back into the community whenever and wherever useful. This is all possible because of Westwood Motor Group and it’s what makes us different from the rest! In 2016, it was decided that it made sense to combine the two. Westwood Motor Group became the Official Sponsor and Fleet Supplier, providing Wigan Athletics staff and players their personal and club vehicles. In addition, Westwood also provide our sponsorship around the stadium. To be able to provide such a fantastic family and community oriented football club like Wigan Athletic with our sponsorship and vehicles, is something that Westwood Motor Group are very proud of.

Until now, the Lounge was formerly named the Champagne Lounge. However, the Club’s upgraded Westwood Motor Group Lounge is the quirky way to enjoy matchday hospitality; with a relaxed atmosphere complimented with delicious food and drinks as well as special pitch views and pre-match tours! – Wigan Athletic F.C.
