Our Ryan Turns 21
Today we celebrate a big Birthday with Ryan, the youngest member of our Marketing team.
Ryan’s been with us for around 8 months now and while his previous background isn’t in Marketing, it was his interest in photography and video which made him a prime candidate for the role he’s now made his own.
Assisting with all aspects of our marketing output, Ryan’s learned quickly as well as bringing his own interests and capabilities to the team. There are two things that are intrinsic to a good marketer, creativity, curiosity and adaptability, everything else are just skills which can be taught. With this being the case, Ryan has been a veritable sponge picking up various concepts, methodologies and various software suites. To the point where not only has he picked up numerous aspects of the photography and video editng packages we use, but he’s also learned enough to have been able to buy hosting, a domain and built himself a WordPress website in his free time.
In particular, Ryan’s passion for video and photography have made him a perfect candidate for making our vehicles and premises look their best, he’s taken the lead on our TikTok Channel and he’s also displayed his drone piloting skills on other aspects of our socials making him an invaluable member of the marketing team. Much of the photography and video you see across our digital platforms are now courtesy of Ryan.
Displaying a willingness to get stuck in and a helpful, practical attitude to work, Ryan gets involved and is always willing to help out. He’s less willing however to get in front of the camera he’s so often found behind. His habit of wearing almost exclusively black has led to him being the butt of various vampire jokes and earned him the nickname ‘Buffy’ (maybe it’s the hair), but as with many places, we only take the mickey out of people we like, so he takes this with good humour and isn’t afraid to respond in kind either.
Ryan’s booked the day off for his big day, so Team Westwood got together and made sure his desk was tastefully decorated and he had some gifts and treats from the entire team.
