The All Electric Farizon SV – The Award Winning ‘Super Van’
The latest arrival to our van hire fleet (for the time being) is the Farizon SV. As we’re fast becoming accustomed, it’s another long established Chinese brand that’s been around for ages over there, but has only recently chosen to launch in the UK. Farizon is a brand specialising in just commercial vehicles and is itself a sub-brand of the Geely Group, another automotive giant that’s only just hit these shores.
The SV, which really does stand for ‘Super Van’, is an electric only panel van, reportedly designed for the European market, which features class leading range, drive by wire technology and the kind of luxury features you’d typically only find in higher end prestige cars. You’d expect us to extoll the virtues of vehicles on our fleet, but the Farizon SV has already won the 2026 zero emission van of the year award, so you know it’s not just us who’ve been impressed by it!
There’s No Bottom Of The Range With The Farizon SV
Technically that also means there’s no top of the range either, but when you look t the equipment levels in the Farizon SV, you’ll appreciate why we phrased it like that. The kit and the fit are incredible – there’s only one trim level and only a handful of options and otherwise it’s just a case of deciding how big you want your van. Naturally, because we can’t resist adding extras, we’ve gone with the most useful, namely the biggest battery for each of the vans we’ve chosen for our electric van hire fleet, giving a really quite impressive 220-250 maximum range.
Performance wise, you get exactly what you’d expect from any elecrtic vehicle. Plenty of low end shove to get you going, then smooth, urgent and relentless power moving forwards. With a 0-60 speed just over 8 seconds, the SV is pretty quick for a van and that low slung, centrally mounted battery makes it feel super stable as well.
Charging via DC is also quick. Capable of accepting a charge at 120kW, any of the SV’s can charge from 20% to 80% in 30 to 40 minutes – less than your lunch break!
From the back, the Farizon SV looks like any other up to the minute van – it’s a squarish box to load stuff in, there’s not much room, nor need for innovation there. However, the front is a different story. Sleek, almost futuristic and wedge shaped from the outside, the SV is elegant in its simplicity. Inside however, you’d be forgiven for forgetting that it’s a van you’re driving.
The Cabin is clean, classy and logically laid out. Happily, the big digital display and touchscreen are accompanied by physical button controls for the bits and pieces you need most while you’re driving and it’s clear they’ve let an actual designer loose on the interior, which is far nicer than you’d expect a van to be.
The feature list is as long as your arm, but standout features include 360 degree parking cameras as standard, usually a feature reserved for luxury cars not vans, and uniquely, there’s also a weight monitoring system which helps you make sure you don’t overload the van above it’s permitted MGW and tempt the wrath of the DVSA! The payload, even for the largest SV is a little over a ton.
All in all, the Farizon SV is an exceptionally strong offering for the brands entry into the UK market. Naurally, as with all the best vehicles, you can find these vans here at Westwood!
