Bolton Business Expo 2025
On Friday October 24th, Team Westwood attended the Bolton Business Expo held at the Toughsheet Stadium in Bolton as one of over 120 local businesses exhibiting all under one roof.
We’d booked a corner stand, which gave us a much larger space, giving us the opportunity to show off one of our top end Ford Transit Custom Crew Cab PHEV’s, fully kitted out with our own unmistakeable livery as well as bring some banners, merchandise and treats along with information about our unbeatable deals and services.
We sent along our Rental Director Ben Quayle along with Marketing Manager Chris Ellison to represent team Westwood and provide a pair of friendly faces to match our unmissable presence at one of the days most prestigious stands.
Who Was At The Expo?
The Bolton Business Expo was a colossal event, featuring exhibitors from a rich and diverse selection of the local business community and attracted around 2,000 visitors from an equally eclectic mix of people, making it easily the biggest event of its type n the Northwest.
It’d be really dull to rattle of a long list of names, but there were plenty of large well known brands with a presence there alongside hyper-local startups and all levels in between.
It was particularly interesting to see representatives from Porsche, Mercedes and Kia at the expo, who brought along some of their latest electric vehicles. All of which, it has to be said are exactly the sort of vehicles you’d expect (and are likely to see soon) joining the Westwood Fleet.
Porsche Macan Electric
First up was Porsche’s new Electric Macan, which looked simply stunning and is sure to turn some heads. You’ll already have seen the Macan on our fleet with petrol and hybrid powertrains, but the full EV variant has yet to make an appearance. Watch this space!
Kia PV5 and Kia EV4
Kia brought along a double whammy – two of their very latest machines. The brand new EV4 is amongst their newest electric cars and joins some of their other stonking electric cars in an ever expanding and frankly super impressive line up. Arguably of more interest, was the PV5 – Kia’s very first commercial vehicle and an all electric van seemingly aimed straight across the bow of VW’s ID Buzz n terms of size, style and class. This one had been further modified by our good friends at Coolkit in order to transform it into a fully electric fridge van – we were mightily impressed!
Mercedes CLA Electric
Last and certainly not least, Mercedes had brought along their incredible new Mercedes CLA Electric. While the CLA has always been highly desirable and sweepingly stylish, it’s also, if you want to get right down to it, a slightly less practical A-Class. The new CLA however, fully embraces the style you’d expect from Mercedes as well as being immediately one of the longest ranged E.V.s on the road at rough 500 miles. Embracing Merc’s new design language and with some dazzling external lighting effects to match the ambient light inside, it’s truly a stunning machine.
The Bolton Business Expo – What a Great Day!
It was truly a incredible day at the Bolton Business Expo, havng the opportunity to chat and network with representatives of so many local and not so local businesses, either fellow exhibitors, or visiting delegates was a fantastic experience and an unmissable opportunity to introduce the Westwood Brand to those in attendance face to face. Everyone’s seen our logo, but it’s the in-person connection which is so valuable to show off our friendly approachable and professional team as the personable powerhouse behind our monolithic corporate presence.
