Westwood Support Manheim
Westwood Motor Group is proudly sponsoring Matthew Davock of Manheim Auctions in his bid to raise money for Cancer Research. Matthew will be climbing the famous route Alpe d’Huez used in the Tour de France.
Embarking on the 8/9 of September, he will be travelling 13.8 KM through from Bourg d’Oisans to the ski resort Alpe d’Huez enduring 21 hairpin turns through the trail.
The climb is now an iconic part of the Tour de France that we see today, however it wasn’t used indefinitely until 1976, when cycling as a sport had expanded, along with the resort. The route is a haven for enthusiastic cycle and sports fanatics.
For this journey, Westwood have generously donated a brand new Ford Custom, directly from our own fleet, to assist Matthew with his bid to raise money from embarking on his cycling journey. This is specifically so Matthew will be able to travel with his bike, along with food, water and supplies during the ride.
