BMW Reveal Brand New 5 Series
February 2017 is the confirmed sale date from BMW that will see the 5 Series executive car available for customers
The production manger from BMW has told Fleet News “The brand has chosen to include Professional Nav as a standard feature on all models in the UK, as well as the digital dashboard.” It will be built on a new platform with the 5 having several technological highlights. The second largest market for the 5 model is the UK, so the views of the UK market have been considered in the manufacturing process and development.
Automatic transmission has now become a standard feature in the 5, with X-Drive being available for the first time in SE & M-Sport. Configuration combinations have been slashed, from 60 down to 12, enforcing residual values and minoring confusion

- Apple CarPlay
- Link to Outlook calendars
- Scheduled journey times in sync with meetings
CO2 emissions for the 520d start from 107g/km, while a lower-emission EfficientDynamics model is set to follow from March.
Launching soon after that is a plug-in hybrid model, the 530e, with sub 50g/km emissions, and will be roughly similar in price to the 530d
